Sami’s Update from Jacqueline #2
Dear Prayer Warriors:
When we first started this journey, Sami told me: “Jacqueline, we are going through the fiery furnace! But remember, the Lord is with us!” He told the kids: “The Lord allowed this cancer for a reason! He is in control, and He’s going to walk with us every step of the way!” Sami reflected his peace on me, on the children & the rest of the family! And I’m sure you all have sensed it through his blog! We felt The Lord’s presence indeed!!! A hard but a blessed journey!
Sami is not doing well right now… I was waiting for him to get better and write to you himself but he can’t… He’s fighting sooo bravely though! Although his body is weak, his spirit is strong! He’s still trusting the Lord and clinging to his faith! We appreciate your faithful prayers that carried us so far and will continue until the Lord is glorified in Sami whether in healing here on earth or healing in heaven where Sami will be whole again! Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego told the king: “our God whom we serve is able to deliver us…, but even if He does not, we will not serve your gods…”! Daniel 3: 17b-18.
This is exactly our stand! We have a living faith in a mighty God! He sent His son Jesus to die for us, to build that broken bridge destroyed by sin and to bring us back to relationship with Him. He promised eternal life to all who believe in Him! Sami put his trust in Jesus and built his life on Him, the Eternal Rock and neither a storm nor a leukemia tsunami is going to destroy that!
Please keep on praying for us during this hard time! We are fully trusting that Sami is still and will ever be in His GRIP!
Much love, Jacqueline
Thank you for the update. I pray for Sami and his healing and for your strength as well. It has indeed been a journey for us all. Please keep us posted as we do not want to bother you, but many friends at ExxonMobil always are asking me if I have heard from Sami. You are a blessing in his life and have been there for the children too. Please let me know if there is anything I can help you with. I stand waiting to hear from you. I’d love to visit Sami if it is appropreiate and if he is up to it. If not, I totally understand. Randy Hroch

Jacqueline, Sami, and family, Blessing to you at Christmas time, when God sent his only son, Jesus, to us and the time when we celebrate his birth. May God’s peace be with you now and in the new year. You remain in our prayers. Thank you for sharing the news, and your continued faith is an amazing testament to us all. Rhonda
May GOD’s Peace and Calmness remain with you now, in the time to come, and forever throughout eternity, where time is limitless with our GOD.
Dear Sami and all the family,
Sami, I remember the day you walked into Allen’s hospital room and sat and visited with him. Your love and care were a blessing to him and to me. I remember I was trying to sort out a place for him to go next and so wasn’t able to sit and visit with you, but you spent that time with Allen. That was about one month before he died and he wasn’t doing well.
I want to thank you for your kindness that day, and also for the many ways you have blessed me through the years since. Your faith, your love and your light is always shining, especially in this long journey you are traveling through your illness. You are proclaiming the goodness and faithfulness of God, not only here but also to the spiritual hosts of heaven.
I am praying that God will restore you to your family in perfect health, but if not, what more glorious future can we have than to stand face to face with the Light of the World!
I will continue to pray, knowing God’s smile is resting on you today.
Janelle Avery
Love you man, always

Dear Sami and family:
We are all with you right now. All of us here in Iraq think about you all the time. I am praying for your complete recovery Sami. You can get through this! It was a real privilege to see you in Houston back in September. You showed your warrior spirit then and I know you still have it now.
When things got tough for us in the Marines we would always support one another by telling one another to ‘Stay Motivated’! Well, I am here to tell you the same. Stay Motivated Sami! You can do this!!!
To my dear friend Sami and his wonderful family:

It was so heartbreaking to hear Sami is struggling and yet so hopeful to hear your words filled with faith and hope I know from your words and the many people who are praying for all of you that you are not making this journey alone. We pray that God’s spirit fills you with warmth as you make your way through this long marathon to an unknown destination. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with Sami and with all of you.
I pray for you and your family my wonderful, strong friend. Stay focused, stay strong, you are in my thoughts and prayers every day. We are all by your side, still much left to accomplish. He is with you Wadad..
Jacqueline, Sami, and Family, continue to not give up no matter what the situation looks like. God can do what MAN CAN NOT DO. Jesus said He came to give life. God is NEVER the author of death so keep thinking, speaking, expecting, and having faith for LONG LIFE for this is the PROMISE from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When a situation looks the MOST hopeless, THAT is when our God Mightily moves by us simply giving Him our faith to move in a Mighty way. Keep on believing for God has given you all the strength to endure this temporary challenge. We love you all.
Sami…you are in my prayers everyday. May God bless you and your family always
SAMI!!! You have DOMINION over ALL!!!
Genesis 1:26
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every CREEPING thing that CREEPS on the earth.” What God was saying was give man dominion over ALL. This includes cancer because cancer is from satan and God children have dominion over satan.
When God made man, He gave man dominion over everything on earth. To have an idea of the kind of dominion man would have had had he not sinned, let’s look at the perfect Man, Jesus Christ.
When Jesus wanted to pay the temple tax, He only needed to command a fish to bring the money to Him. (Matthew 17:24–27) When He wanted to feed a multitude, He only needed to multiply five loaves and two fish in His hands. (Mark 6:34–44) When a storm threatened the lives of His disciples, He only had to speak to the storm and there was perfect calm. (Mark 4:35–41) And every sick person who was brought to Him went away healed. He even brought the dead back to life because He had dominion over death!
Today, you have the same dominion that Jesus exercised because Christ is in you. (Colossians 1:27) So SAMI speak I replace Chemo side effects with the Blood Of JESUS. I replace cancer with the health of Christ. Use the power of Dominion God have freely given you and I promise you, this roller coaster you have been on will come to a complete stop.
Sami,
We serve a mighty God and I know you will get through this. I think about you all of the time. You are a true servant and example of His reflection. You have been such a blessing to me. I pray for peace and healing for you and want you to know that I cherish our friendship.
Love you,
Trudi
Habiby Sami: May this new year bring you more health and strength, and May Christ’s grip keep carrying you through the painful times. You are our inspiration and we love you so much! Always in our prayers, thoughts and hearts.
Thinking of you all! Much love! May this new year bring hope and health.
