Remaining in His grip
This is Lamia, Sami’s sister from the ICU :
Sami recently had internal bleeding and yesterday had a GI procedure (EGD) where he was scoped through the mouth to check his stomach & small intestines. They found several bleeding spots in both areas and sealed them during the procedure. Thank God the bleeding stopped and praise God his hemoglobin number (which was dangerously low) went up right away!
However, they had to intubate him for a few days which in a sense, is giving him the opportunity to rest, pain free. Just like last time he was in this situation, I hear in the room the ruffles of the wings of the angels that are tending to his care…
“And under His wings we will find refuge” Ps 91:4
We can’t thank you enough for your constant prayers & support.
A small word from Jacqueline now:
It’s our 18th wedding anniversary today and this is not how I hoped to spend it: In the I CU at MDAnderson! However, I trust in a loving God who is watching over habibi Sami! He promised us that He will never leave us nor forsake us. We covet your prayers, our dear prayer warriors, so God will be glorified in Sami’s healing!!!
And just like Sami always says:

Keep your faith and prayers, I know how difficult this journey has been…
I can’t say much now…. However! And just like Sami habib albe always says: In His Grip…(the safest place to be).
Dear Lahoud family, May the presence of (y)our Heavenly Father be made known to you in this storm. We continue to join you in prayer of intercession on Sami’s behalf and Jacqueline. Lamia, dear Sister, may your presence there also be a source of strength for the family. Much love!
Sami, as always, we are keeping you in our prayers. You are an inspiration to all of us! May God see you through this incredible struggle.
We love you Sami and Jacko. You both as individuals and as a couple are an inspiration to me personally and to many others. We trust in God’s goodness and in his mercies that are new every morning.

Sami and Jacqueline — I’m so sorry to hear about this additional trial but know that you will overcome it. You remain in my thoughts and prayers.
praying for all of you Sami, Jaco , the kids , aunty Wadad, Rima , Lamia and the family… Love you all.. and trusting all of you in His Grip. Nothing compares to knowing and trusting the Lord is in control … especially when everything around us feels unstable. He won’t permit or plan something difficult for us to walk through without having a greater purpose behind it. One that will make us holier, more like Him, and shine His glory. This experience is not in vain!
As always, Sami is in our prayers, but today more than ever before his loving family is in our prayers. I pray you will all be lifted up and held closely as Sami says ” In His Grip” just know, your Exxon Mobil family cares greatly for you all…. As always, continue the March…..

It sounds like the past weeks have been especially tough, but don’t falter in you hope and faith. No matter how big the problem is; our God is bigger and stronger! Lamia, Thank you for the update. It had been a while since we had heard anything from Sami. I am sorry to learn of this setback on his road to recovery. Please tell Sami and Jacqueline that the Petersons are praying for them and their family. Happy anniversary! We love you.

Sami and Jacqueline, You know Mary Beth and I fell in love with you both when we met at MDA. I’m looking forward to another lunch at Panera Bread or better yet at the opening of “Fabulous Falafels”. Sami is the only one I can call and bounce things off of about Leukemia and end up laughing together about our situation. I know it was by Devine appointment the Lord brought us together. He stays in my prayers and others at church ask how he is doing and I know they are praying also. It only takes one to touch the hem of His garmet. May the Lord bless you and your family as you all go through this together. Onward to Victory.

My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, (Colossians 2:2 NIV)… Prayers from all over the Globe lifting you in His presence. Our God is higher and above all. His Grip is safer than any other.
I am praying for you all as you walk through this difficult journey. Jesus is the only answer in life, and I pray he will pour his Spirit of grace and peace upon each one of you!

I am so sorry but i just learned of Sami’s struggles. Sami, please hang in there. You are strong and Jesus is with you and will get you through it. My dears Lamia, Issam, Waddad, Jacquline and my brother sami imagine that we dont have faith and we dont have our lord. Life will be meaningless. Thanks God for Jesus and Thanks God for the holyspirit that god left on this earth to take care of us. we live in hope that all will be well at the end according to gods will. happy anniversary and yes the place is not important, it is great that you are togther.
