September 2, 2011

I am back home after surviving three days of Chemo.  My main symptoms are nausea and lack of energy, however, being home is much better than staying at the hospital.  The cafeteria food does not jive well with me.  I was told that I can stay home as long as I do not have fever.   If I get it, I have to be brought to the ER asap.  So far my blood counts are holding in the acceptable range.  We’re praying things will remain stable until the Transplant date.  (btw, the transplant entails 5 days of Chemo … so I will definitely need your prayers for that upcoming furnace).

When I arrived to the hospital it was a strange feeling.  A deja vu.  I dreaded it for the first few hours, thinking, not again … but the Lord comforted me and your prayers sustained me.   I got through it safe and sound. On a lighter side, when the nurse walked in … “IT” was whistling the reunited song :

Reunited and it feels so good
Reunited ’cause we understood
There’s one perfect fit
And, sugar, this one is it

I looked … and it was Alaris … I have to be honest with you, I was not a happy camper.  She was thinking the Love Story … I was thinking Fatal Attraction.  She was all over me until the last-minute.  I was so glad when we were disconnected, although she whispered in my Catheter, see you soon on Transplant Avenue love … (I did not appreciate that thought at all).

Thank you for your prayers.  They are sustaining me. The Lord has heard them !
We serve a faithful God.  He will strengthen and protect us through it all ! PTL

Hello dear Sami, we did not stop praying for you, our hope and trust that God is good, and I would like to share this verse with, actually I am going to preach from the same chapter this morning (Phil. 4:6-7 “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God, And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”) I pray that you have a blessed day, and waiting always to hear great news about God’s work in your life.

    With love in Him,

    Samer

It’s not hearing, reading, or even learning the Word of God that makes a believer mature. According to Hebrews 5:12, a mature believer is the person who puts the Word into practice.
In all your blog and updates I see the word of God shining in your life every step of the way. Sami, just imagine the amount of prayers heading your way from all over the glob. God is surely at work, we just need to realise it. keep it up brother. Ok guys, lets show Sami where our prayers are coming from for HIm…..

    Sami,

After 2 weeks of trying to find your blog, I finally realized I was spelling your first name wrong. It was actually refreshing to know my difficulty logging in was not due to my technical challenges. LOL!
I am continuously praying for your healing; the wisdom, knowledge and hands of all the health care providers you come in contact with and your family.
Praise God for the perfect match. May his grace, mercy and blessings continue to poor over you and your family.
