March 8, 2012
The results of the Bone Marrow Aspiration (BMA) exceeded all expectations. My Leukemia Physician said that I am ready for another Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) since my numbers look very promising. However, since no one was expecting such a quick recovery, the Bone Marrow team was not ready. Thus we should give them time to line up a donor. Accordingly, I will have to undergo another targeted Chemo session while awaiting the BM team to get ready.
All in all, it was nothing but good news today (PTL!). I am supposed to start another Chemo session on Monday and meet with the Bone Marrow Physician to discuss my next BMT.
Please keep me in your prayers. We are expecting and hoping that this second BMT will be “IT”. 🙂

Hi Sami. My family name might look familiar to you 🙂 I am Said’s wife. Besides the updates I get from Said and Hoda, I am always following your posts. I always feel the need to write back when I read you, but I never know what to say!!! Your faith is remarkable! Usually we write to encourage, share an experience to lift up the morale… In your case you’re the one lifting up our morale and encouraging us. You set a great example of Faith, Love and Courage!!! All what you’re asking for, is our PRAYERS.
Well, I am always praying for you. I often visit a Sainte Rita church here in Montreal, and always ask for her help in getting your prayer and our prayers to the Lord so he can always be by your side and help you through this experience. I am also praying for your family (your Wife, children, Mom and sisters) because I know, from experience, how much they must be suffering, in Silence.
Will keep on praying!
Yes, Yes..all in faith and trust..in prayer and hope..

For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. (2 Corinthians 2:15 NIV). You are definitely His Aroma. In prayer my Freind. Keep it up. All in His timing.

Dear Bro Sami,
Since we heard about your case, we’ve been praying for you. You’re still, and will continue to be, on our church’s prayer list.
We’re happy for the encouraging news about the successful transplant. Pray you find the right donor and that the second BMT will be the final one and that you’ll be completely healed, in Jesus’s Precious Name.

Sami,
I’m praying for you to have strength and endurance. Diaa and I were just discussing your health. We (all of us) miss you so much. In many ways, you are the heart of the Iraq team. God has blessed you in so many ways – I know you know that – and we are blessed by you, even when we’re on the other side of the world.
I love you brother.

Sami, Tony and I are praying for your absolute healing. Your attitude is wonderful and I’m not surprised at all. You have always been a model for what God wants us to be. You’ve always had a special place in my heart-ever since Tony came home and told me you witnessed to him. He never had that experience before and you would be so, so proud of the amazing Christian and follower of Christ that he has become. You planted the seed! We have a friend who is 12 and is on the same journey your are passing through right now. His family has never been closer or stronger. I hate that you are going through this but I know and can see you are touching many people, all for God’s glory! So glad we found your blog! Much love to you and to your family!
